Long-distance installations often require fiber optic cables to connect different sites because of fiber's ability to transmit data over much greater distances with minimal signal loss. AXIS D8308 support fiber optic connections, making it ideal for linking remote locations within a network.
Easy to install and configure
AXIS D8308 Fiber Aggregation Switch is easy to install using standard Axis tools as AXIS IP Utility and AXIS Device Manager. It comes with an individual password, easy to use setup wizard, and a comprehensive set of configuration tools. For instance, an integrated DHCP server for automatic assignment of IP addresses. It also allows for even more advanced network configuration such as VLAN, QoS, Port Security, and Spanning tree to further optimize the total solution.
